White is one of the trendiest colors in fashion for summer but can it garner success for the Miami Heat the way it has for apparel designers? Heat fans are betting it can as they don white in a show of support for their team.
The WHITE HOT campaign was the brainchild of Michael McCullough, Heat executive vice president and chief marketing officer according to the Miami Hearld. With fans showing up at games decked out in white polos, tees, halters and even some in head-to-toe white it appears that the WHITE HOT campaign is a success with more than just the fanatics. This is not the first time the Heat has rallied around a color. In 2004 it was "Black is Back" and last year "The Red Zone"
Was Miami's timing for catching the white wave brillance or simply a bit of luck? McCullough states that it was "a great coincidence." With a humble statement like that from someone in an industry known for big egos I have to hope that for the Heat WHITE IS HOT.
